Robert Baker is a Senior Partner and Leader of Diversity & Inclusion Consulting for Europe and Pacific Regions. He is based in Mercer’s London Office.
Robert is responsible for driving growth in Mercer’s Diversity & Inclusion consulting services throughout the region, by helping clients attract, retain and develop the best diverse talent. He is a member of Mercer’s global D&I consulting team and helps develop our client propositions and services. Robert also contributes to Mercer’s global thought leadership in D&I and shares this with clients through our research papers and client peer networks.
Robert’s previous experience includes some 15 years as a Global Client Relationship Director and he still retains a small number of large global accounts. Prior to that, Robert spent 20 years in Mercer’s investment consulting business, helping build its European presence and developing its investment consulting services for multinational companies.
Robert has a strong interest in diversity and inclusion: He is a member of Mercer’s UK Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group and is on the steering committees for Mercer’s European gender balance business resource group. He is Co-President of PWN Global, a leading professional women’s network and has extensive experience in engaging men engaged in supporting gender equality.
He has spoken publicly at conferences and facilitated numerous discussion panels for PWN Global and Mercer’s UK gender balance network. He has also contributed to a blog for Catalyst and has written for other publications.
