CO-STORM™ Mentor Guidelines
The concept behind CO-STORM™ is about how much more we’re able to see (brainstorm) for each other than we see for ourselves. There’s a creative back and forth energy in getting outside your own head. Fresh eyes see our blind spots and filters. They also mirror back to us what’s really going on. A CO-STORMER’S insight can clarify what steps to take next, highlight your strengths, and make you see what should happen naturally. It can solve a problem in your field with an outsider’s perspective.
During this session, each participant will have time for an introduction and a chance to discuss their most pressing pain point, project or idea in a safe and empowering environment. CO-STORM™ participants will brainstorm on solutions and positive changes. This session includes an incredible group of mentors (YOU!), so please be ready to give feedback by sharing your experience and expertise.
As CO-STORM™ Mentors, you will be assigned to a small group to brainstorm and help move ideas forward. The CO-STORM™ participants will count on you to offer advice, make suggestions, and use your expertise and experience to help them solve problems and plan action. It is important to remember that CO-STORM participants may be new to receiving feedback about their ideas. Please give positive advice and if needed, sandwich constructive feedback with positive reinforcement. We want all participants to feel seen, inspired and validated.
*Don’t worry, we got you! Before the Co-Storm, we will have a virtual training event for mentors only.
Event Structure
CO-STORM™ participants are placed in groups of 3 + a mentor
Each participant has 30min to share and receive feedback from the mentor and others in the group
After the CO-STORM™ part of the event has concluded, we will gather as a larger group and ask the Mentors (YOU) to share key learnings with the group. We’d like for you to share themes, insights, and breakthroughs you heard amongst the groups.
Your Commitment
The time of the event + one training session a week before.
