FAQ

The NEW Seattle WiT Regatta dates: August 10 – 14th, 2020.

Given the evolving situation with COVID-19, we have decided to reschedule the Seattle WiT Regatta. The health and safety of our attendees, panelists, sponsors, volunteers, and the broader community is our number one priority.

FAQ

Is this a boat race?
Nope. It’s a play on words.

What exactly is the Women in Tech Regatta (WiT)?
The Regatta connects and celebrates the area’s women in tech through a week long program of educational events, speakers, and experiences.  WiT is designed to give access to mentors, peers, resources and to the power of community.

Who is this event for?
WiT Regatta is an inclusive event.  All are welcome and encouraged to participate regardless of area(s) of expertise, gender identity, or career levels.  We are committed to being a collaborative environment for people, ideas and discourse. We’ll come together to amplify careers, define the future of tech, and blow our own minds.

Should I go alone or should I go with friends?
Go it alone and make new friends, or bring your friends and co-workers. It’s all up to you!

What will I get? What’s the main takeaway?
You will walk away with new friends, new ideas, and fresh perspectives to apply to your career.

Will I be able to go to all of these events?
Multiple events will occur at the same time. Aside from not being able to be in two places at once, your ticket gives you access to all WiT Regatta panels, connection engineer events, job expo and Deep Sea Tech Tracks on Saturday April 25th.

How much does it cost?
$475 gets you a pass to our entire week long programing.  Click for tickets.

What is your refund policy?
Tickets purchased prior to March 10th, 2020:
All ticket purchases will be honored for our new dates of August 10th thru 14th, 2020. In case these dates do not work for you, tickets are transferable. Email us at lilla@witregatta.com if you have any questions.

Tickets purchased after March 10th, 2020:
Tickets are non-refundable.

If for any reason the Seattle WiT Regatta cannot be held on the dates of August 10-14, 2020, it will be rescheduled with the current program presented in full. Ticket holder admission will transfer automatically to the rescheduled date.

When can I create my personalized schedule?
As a result of the date change and the updates needed, ticket purchasers will not automatically receive a login to Sched to create a personal schedule. This is temporary and all ticket purchasers will receive access to create their personal schedule as soon as possible.

What is the structure of WiT Regatta panels?
All panels are scheduled for a total of two hours. The first hour is dedicated to the moderated panel discussion. The second hour is focused on an interactive activity among attendees.

Will there be refreshments?
Absolutely! Each venue offers drinks and light snacks but we recommend you eat beforehand.

What is the dress code at any of the events?
There is none! Come as you are!

Do I need to bring anything?
Some of our venues are secured spaces, please bring a government issue ID. It’s also recommended to bring business cards to exchange with your new mentor or friends!

Where will the events be located?
Every year we host the Regatta at various venues around South Lake Union. Get a peek inside local tech companies and beautiful co-working spaces in the area! Click here to see a map of all of our locations.

Where do I pick up my badge?
Each attendee will create a WiT Regatta badge at the first session they attend. We ask that badges stay with you at all times throughout the week for easier check in at each session.

Is there parking or shuttle service?
There is metered street parking in the area.

I have a disability, is there easy access to all sessions?
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request accommodation about accessibility, please contact lilla@witregatta.com.
