Adrian Crook is a single father of five young kids and an award-winning creative producer with over 24 years of game industry experience. Adrian’s 11 year old Vancouver-based company, Adrian Crook & Associates, designs and develops mobile games for over 130 international clients, including LEGO, Microsoft, Rovio, EA, Capcom, Cartoon Network, American Express, Pokemon and Facebook.
Prior to founding his company, Adrian spent 13 years producing AAA games for Electronic Arts, Relic Entertainment, and other studios. Adrian has led multiple original IP products to market, with one product selling more than 1 million units at retail and another still grossing $2M/month on mobile.
Adrian is an advisor to several game industry firms, has given interviews on G4TV and other national TV outlets, CNN, Fox News and other print and online news sites and has spoken as a games expert at conferences such as Game Developers Conference, SXSW, Casual Connect, INplay, GameOn: Finance and others.
Adrian has founded two non-profit associations, Abundant Housing Vancouver and Abundant Transit BC, to advocate for more choices in how we live in and get around our region. He also blogs at 5 Kids 1 Condo, writing about the pros and cons of urban family life in Vancouver.
In September 2017, Adrian filed a Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms challenge against BC’s Ministry of Children and Family Development to fight for his kids’ freedom to take the the bus school.
