I’m a Diversity & Inclusion Content Strategist who is enthusiastic about fairness, inclusion, multiculturalism and diversity. I imagine a Canada where every person enjoys using skills, talent, knowledge and education in a robust way, contributing to a collective national vision of accomplishment. I have developed communication tools and cross-cultural training materials to promote diversity and inclusion values in varied sectors. Whether the need is engaging videos or well-researched, compelling arguments for a funding proposal, I can help. I’m currently organizing the Oct. 16 Future U conference to be held at the Vancouver Public Library. Future U: IT Skills for Tech will inform internationally-trained IT newcomers on options for jobs and training for a future in the tech industry. My background also includes tutorial and educational program development and has centred on the immigrant-serving sector. I’m delighted to serve as an ISSofBC Project Facilitator for In-TAC’s Literacy and Essential Skills Training program, which aims to assist IT newcomers to Canada to access and advance in employment that reflects their skills and knowledge. It’s fascinating to work with newcomer IT professionals from around the world who are building their careers in BC’s Lower Mainland.
